Huaqiao University Students Visit Sunled for Summer Practice

On July 2, Xiamen Sunled Electric Appliances Co,. Ltd welcomed a group of students from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Automation of Huaqiao University for a summer internship visit. The purpose of this activity was to provide the students with a deeper understanding of the small home appliance manufacturing industry and its operational processes, while promoting integration between academic practice and real-world enterprise operations.
To ensure a productive visit, Sunled carefully organized a structured tour and technical explanations. Led by company representatives, the students visited the injection molding workshop, assembly lines, quality inspection area, and the product R&D exhibition zone. Through this immersive experience, they gained a systematic and visual understanding of the entire manufacturing process—from raw material molding and product assembly to final quality control.
At the injection molding workshop, the students observed key processes such as mold installation, material injection, and automated demolding, gaining first-hand insights into the role of precision manufacturing technology in production. In the assembly area, Sunled showcased the assembly procedures and quality control systems for core products such as aroma diffusers, electric kettles, and air purifiers, offering a clear view of the company’s efficient production flow and strict quality standards.
The tour continued at Sunled's R&D and product showroom. Company representatives introduced Sunled's product lines—including ultrasonic cleaners, garment steamers, and camping lanterns—highlighting their design concepts and technical features. The students learned about the full product development lifecycle, from industrial design and structural optimization to large-scale manufacturing. Sunled's achievements in structural innovation, electrical control systems, and safety design sparked strong interest among the students.
In the final session, representatives from Sunled's engineering and R&D departments presented the company's development history, product roadmap, and future plans. They also shared practical experience in product development, project management, and technology commercialization. The exchange provided the students with a deeper understanding of technical roles in industry and the skills required for future employment in the manufacturing sector.
